
The
Residences
of the QSWC
The
Quebec Society for Wetland Conservation (QSWC) administers two residences
intended for students, trainees, researchers and visitors interested in
the QSWC conservation and educational activities. These residences
are the following :
Quebec City
This QSWC residence is located in Quebec City
near the municipal park Domaine de Maizerets. Its location is in reach
of a vast
network of bicycle paths leading to Montmorency Falls and the historical district of Old Quebec. The residence also houses the
head office of the QSWC where
management and scientific research is carried out.
Batiscan
Located 100 km west of
Quebec City in the Municipality of Batiscan, this
QSWC
residence is situated in a patrimonial natural environment at the mouth of
the Batiscan River, on the banks of the St-Lawrence Estuary. A haven of peace and
tranquility, it offers numerous outdoor activities in any seasons :

Winter
: ice fishing and snowshoe ;

Spring
: birdwatching (Snow Goose in particular) ;
-
Summer
and Fall : canoe, kayak, aquatic activities, etc.
The
QSWC Batiscan
residence also allows easy access two important QSWC
natural reserves located in the municipalities of Batiscan and
Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade.
